When Colby asked me to photograph her and Dylan’s mountain elopement outside Hinton, I was floored. I was so excited that I made a super cheesy reel on Instagram about it. Shooting my first ever real elopement in the Rocky Mountains was a dream come true and a day I will never forget.
Colby and Dylan eloped on June 1st, 2022 at Ogre Canyon which is a magnificent spot nestled in the mountains between Hinton and Jasper. The couple exchanged emotional vows in front of Colby’s mom, two close friends and a pup named Cash.
After the ceremony, we adventured out to Ogre Canyon which is where the two had one of their first dates. Where they spent lazy summer days and where Dylan asked Colby to marry him in front of frozen waterfalls in the winter. The road out there was 10/10 the bumpiest road I have ever been on. I was so glad Dylan insisted on driving us all out there together. We ventured, we laughed, and they got their butts out as is their tradition.
Colbs and Dylan are honestly the sweetest souls, the coolest people and they are so beautiful together. Being a witness to their elopement and being so lucky to document them was an honor and I am so happy to share this truly gorgeous rocky mountain elopement.
